Crown & Bridges
Crowns are full-coverage restorations that are used to cover a tooth that is likely to break or is too damaged to be corrected with a traditional filling. Dental bridges are a related treatment, and they are used to replace one or more missing teeth. A bridge consists of two crowns that are attached to healthy teeth next to the socket where a missing tooth used to be. Then, bridgework is used to attach a false tooth (also called a pontic) to these crowns, “bridging” the gap and replacing the missing tooth.
