COVID-19
At Bay Wellesley Dental, we follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and Royal College of Dental Surgeons guidelines to ensure the health and safety of our patients and staff. These recommendations include:
- Access to reliable and timely information
- An emergency plan
- Emergency contact list
- Communication with patients and staff
- Safety and hygiene measures to protect staff and patients including sterilizing all instruments; thoroughly disinfecting rooms; using air filters and Personal Protective Equipment like face shields, masks, gowns, gloves, and eyewear
- A virtual waiting room: We have set up virtual “waiting room” for our patients to Check in via phone call and wait, if necessary, somewhere safe outside the Clinic, such as in a car.
- COVID screening: We pre-screen patients in advance for COVID-19 symptoms And risk factors to ensure our clinic stays COVID-free.
- Preoperative Antiseptic Rinse: An antiseptic oral rinse will be provided prior to Your dental procedure to help reduce the number of oral pathogens.
- Contact less check-in
These measures have helped us get ready to serve you since we opened.
In the meantime, we advise you to focus on your oral health at home as proper gum health can play a major role in keeping flu- and other viruses at bay. It has been found that common oral bacteria linked to gum disease can suppress immunity, increasing a person’s susceptibility to cold and flu viruses. The benefits of oral intervention to improve patients’ respiratory health have been proven time and time again.
